Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson, Inc. opened its doors in 1939 and was owned and operated by P.D. Waugh. Mr. Waugh sold various cars and tractors until 1953 when his interest in motorcycles surfaced. He included BSAs and Triumphs to his inventory, with Harleys not far behind.
Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson, Inc. became an exclusive authorized Harley-Davidson dealer in October 1976; and is now the oldest Harley dealer in the state of Virginia, family owned and operated by P.D. Waugh's son, daughter-in-law, grandson and granddaughter.
As we continue our 72nd year in business we've gone
through many changes at Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson. We started
in a small building and quickly found we needed more space, more
than once! Our renovations were completed despite many negative
factors. We survived everything from high interest rates to the
possible bankruptcy of Harley-Davidson. We've been able not only
to keep our doors open but to grow through hard work, determination,
great employees, and most importantly, our loyal customers.
One expansion was completed in 1998 with 10,000
square feet of showroom space; separate Service and Parts departments,
an area designated exclusively to MotorClothes™ merchandise
and collectibles and even added our own "Legend Park"
complete with covered pavilion!
Another expansion was completed in 2008 with a customer motorcycle delivery room, 3 row car port, and a front porch that covers the entire length of the front of the building. Now customers can enjoy the day in the shade on a couple of rocking chairs or Harley Orange benches!
The end result is now 10 acres of sheer Harley-Davidson, something you don't want to miss!
Our look has changed over the years but our simple philosophy has not. That is to build quality relationships with customers new and old, deliver quality service and to support the lifestyle we all love ... Harley-Davidson.
